Connect DawBets to Claude

Quick answer
Copy your connector URL from the Claude Connector page in DawBets, then in Claude open Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, paste the URL and sign in with your DawBets account. It needs a DawBets Plus or Pro plan — the free trial counts — and works on every Claude plan.
What the connector actually is
The DawBets connector hands Claude a set of DawBets tools it can call in the middle of an ordinary conversation. Ask "which of my books has the best price on this player prop" and Claude reads DawBets pre-game odds, fair prices and expected-value numbers to answer, without you leaving the chat. MCP — Model Context Protocol — is just the standard Claude uses to talk to outside services; the connector is DawBets on the other end of it.
It researches and explains. It cannot place a bet, sign in to a sportsbook, move money, or change a setting. The single thing it can write is a bet you already placed, logged to your DawBets bet history when you ask and confirm — What Claude can see and do covers that in full.
What you need first
- A DawBets Plus or Pro plan. A free trial account counts, because a trial is treated as Pro. Current prices are on the pricing page.
- Any Claude plan. Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise all work. Claude Free allows only one custom connector in total, so adding DawBets there means giving up whatever custom connector you already have.
- A browser. The setup happens in Claude’s own settings and on a DawBets web page.
Note
On a Free DawBets account the Claude Connector page shows an upgrade prompt where the URL would be — there is nothing to copy yet.
Add it to Claude
- 1
Copy your connector URL
Open Claude Connector in DawBets and press the copy button beside the URL. It is your DawBets address with
/api/mcpon the end. - 2
Open Claude’s connector settings
In Claude, go to Settings, then Connectors.
- 3
Add a custom connector
Choose Add custom connector and paste the URL you copied.
- 4
Sign in and approve
Claude sends you to DawBets to sign in. Approve the request and you land back in Claude with DawBets listed as a connector.
The two things you approve
That approval screen asks two separate questions, and the connector will not answer anything until both are on file:
- A 21+ age confirmation — you confirm you are of legal sports-betting age in your jurisdiction. One tick, once.
- A data-access grant — the list of what the connector may read as you (odds and expected-value analytics, your tracked bets and settled record, your saved preferences, your plan and trial status — never your bankroll or payment details), plus the one thing it may write.
Both are versioned. If the age wording changes, or what the connector can reach is widened, everyone is asked again.
Asked again later? Do not remove the connector
If Claude says you need to confirm your age or approve access again, use the Age confirmation and Data access cards on the Claude Connector page, then retry your question. Claude’s approval screen cannot reappear for a connection that already exists, so deleting and re-adding the connector fixes nothing and costs you the setup.
Check that it worked
Start a new chat and ask something only DawBets can answer — "what are the biggest +EV edges on my books right now". Claude names the DawBets tool it calls before it answers.
Claude also lists four one-click DawBets starters in the menu next to its message box. Those, the questions that work best, and how saving your sportsbooks in Settings narrows the personalised answers are all in What to ask the Claude connector.
On iOS: There is no Claude Connector screen in the iPhone app. Set it up in a browser — the sign-in and both approvals are recorded once, against your DawBets account.
If it will not connect
An OAuth or "authorization failed" error during setup usually means a stale authorization request left by a half-finished attempt. Remove the connector in Claude’s settings and add it again from scratch, starting the retry from Claude’s connector settings rather than refreshing the page.
Anything that goes wrong once you are connected — rate-limit messages, daily call limits, a tool reporting it is not enabled yet — is covered in Claude connector limits and errors.
Bet responsibly
The connector returns computed pricing analytics, not advice: it does not pick bets for you and never suggests a wager size. Sports betting is 21+ and legal only in some states, and an edge is not income. If betting has stopped being fun, read our responsible-gambling resources.
Common questions
Do I need a paid Claude plan?
No. The connector works on Claude Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. Claude Free allows only one custom connector at a time, so adding DawBets means replacing whatever custom connector you already have there.
Do I need a paid DawBets plan?
Yes — Plus or Pro, and the free trial counts. On a Free account there is no URL to copy, and if a subscription lapses each tool call refuses with a readable message instead of the connector disappearing.
Where do I find the connector URL?
On the Claude Connector page inside DawBets, at /connect-claude. It is your DawBets address with /api/mcp on the end. Use the copy button beside it rather than typing it out.
Why is Claude asking me to confirm I am 21+?
It is a one-time legal-age confirmation, and no tool answers until it is on file. Tick it on Claude’s approval screen, or on the Age confirmation card on the Claude Connector page in DawBets, then retry in Claude.
Can Claude place bets for me?
No. It cannot place a wager, sign in to a sportsbook, move money, or touch billing and account settings. The only write it has is logging a bet you already placed into your DawBets bet history, when you ask and confirm.
