What to ask the AI connector

Questions it answers well

Ask in plain English — you never name a tool. Your AI assistant reads the question, calls whatever DawBets tools it needs, and reports back. These shapes work:

• ●“Where’s the best price on the Yankees moneyline?” Every book DawBets tracks, ranked, with the fair price beside the best number.
• ●“Which +EV edges are on my sportsbooks?” The same board the app shows, narrowed to the books saved on your account.
• ●“What’s on the slate tonight, and what markets does the Lakers game have?” The games board, then one game’s markets, the way the Games and Odds pages browse them.
• ●“Line-shop the over 224.5 in that game.” One market across every book, with the fair line beside each price.
• ●“Who has a points prop for Jokić?” Which books post that player’s market, and where the edge is if there is one.
• ●“How has this line moved?” The opening price, the current price, and the close once the game has started — three observations, not a minute-by-minute chart.
• ●“Where are the edges by league and market?” / “Which players are hot right now?” The Explore heatmap and the hot-players board.
• ●“Is this slip worth it?” Paste the slip or drop in a screenshot; each leg is matched and re-priced against the fair number.
• ●“What am I exposed to tonight?” Your open tracked bets: cash at risk, and a split by league and game that flags any game you are on twice.
• ●“What’s a 30% profit boost on this parlay actually worth?” The boosted price, the extra profit, and the edge before and after.
• ●“Build me a boosted parlay at FanDuel” / “Price this same-game parlay.” The boost builder and the same-game pricing engine, on Pro.
• ●“Why is the Dodgers moneyline +EV?” The de-vig arithmetic behind one row, in words.
• ●“Any two-leg parlays worth building at FanDuel tonight?” Combinations where both legs sit at the same book, from different games — a parlay is one ticket at one book.
• ●“I just took the Yankees moneyline at DraftKings — log it.” Records a bet you already placed into your DawBets history. A parlay works the same way.
• ●“I typed $25 but it was $50 — fix the stake.” Corrects an open bet in your history. “That bet was graded a push at the book — settle it,” and “remove that bet,” work too.
• ●“Add Caesars to my sportsbooks.” Changes a preference on your account.
• ●“Only alert me about Must Bets, and go quiet from 11 to 7.” Sets your bet-alert rules and quiet hours.
• ●“Save this as a preset called NBA props.” Saves a bet-feed filter preset, or a boost-builder preset.
• ●“Share that bet.” Creates a public share page for it and returns the link.
• ●“Post this as an idea” / “upvote that one” / “send the team feedback.” The ideas board and the feedback form, under your name.
• ●“How does CLV work in DawBets?” Answered from the help center itself, not from memory.

The three words it keeps using

• ●Expected value (EV) — whether the price offered beats what the outcome is really worth. The long version.
• ●De-vig — stripping a book’s built-in margin out of its price to recover the honest one underneath. That is the “fair price”. How it works.
• ●Closing line value (CLV) — whether the price you took beat the price the market settled on. Ask for your record and, once enough of your bets have been scored, it comes back as a win-loss-push count rather than just a rate. What that record measures.

The kinds of thing it can do

Every write is live for every connector user, and every one sits behind a single switch that fails closed — so if your assistant ever reports that writing from the connector is not enabled, it is off at our end for the moment rather than missing from your account. Everything else keeps working, and you can make the change at My Bets or Settings in the meantime.

How fresh the numbers are

The connector serves pre-game markets only. There are no in-game lines, and it is instructed never to call what it returns live or real-time. Every row carries its own last_fetched_at stamp, and your assistant is told to mention that age when a row has gone stale.

What it will not do

• ●It will not pick bets for you. Everything it returns describes how a price compares to a fair price. A positive edge is not a prediction about who wins.
• ●It will not tell you how much to stake. Your bankroll and average bet size are deliberately unreadable by the connector, so no stake figure can be assembled. The hedge and arbitrage calculators only split an amount you type in, and the boost builder drops the app’s suggested wager before it answers.
• ●It will not place a bet, sign into a sportsbook, or move money. “Settle” marks a result in your own DawBets ledger and nothing at the book.
• ●It will not touch your plan — no billing, no subscription change, no referral redemption. The full boundary is in What the connector can see.
• ●It will not delete a share link or an idea it posted. Share pages are public once created; removing a post stays on the website.
• ●It will not build a boosted parlay or price a same-game parlay on Plus. Those need Pro; straight bets and cross-game parlays work on Plus. How we price a same-game parlay.

Getting better answers

   Save your sportsbooks and your state in Settings

   Pick your books on Settings — or ask your assistant to add them — and “edges on my books” narrows automatically. With none saved, the connector says so and returns nothing rather than quietly showing you the whole market. Your state decides which books a “what’s available near me” answer covers.

   Use the one-click starters, or paste them yourself

   An assistant that supports MCP prompts can list four DawBets starters in its own menu beside the message box — Daily edge briefing, Check a bet slip, Line shop a selection and My open exposure. If yours does not, the connect page has three of them as plain text you can copy and paste into any chat.

   Name the league, market or book

   “NBA player points props at DraftKings” matches the board far more reliably than “find me something good”.

   Ask for the rest when an answer stops short

   Your assistant reads a short page first — ten rows, or five games on the slate — carrying the fields that answer most questions, and asks DawBets for more rows, or for every field on a row, only when a question needs them. If an answer looks thin, ask for the rest, or for the full detail on one row.

Where the links in its answers go

The connector never hands your assistant a raw sportsbook URL. Bet links point back at DawBets and pass through a “You’re leaving DawBets” notice on the way to the book — it names the book, the matchup and the market, carries the 21+ reminder, and never loads a bet slip.
