Settlement notifications

Notifications & alerts · iOS app · Last updated August 28, 2026

Quick answer

When a bet you tracked is graded, the iPhone app gets a push naming the result and the money — "Bet Won · +$38.75". One bet settling in a pass gets its own notification; two or more collapse into a single roundup with your net result. Settlement notifications need Plus or Pro and are iPhone-only.

What one looks like

A settlement notification is the result of a bet you tracked in DawBets, sent to the iPhone app once the bet has been graded. It is three lines, in the order you need them — the result and the money, then which bet, then which game and which book:

  • Bet Won · +$38.75
  • Over 8.5 Total Corners
  • Real Sociedad @ Real Madrid · FanDuel

The book is named so you know where to collect, and so the same bet tracked at two books is not ambiguous. Long club names shorten to their codes where DawBets has them: APP @ USM rather than a line that runs off the screen.

The amount is what changed, not the payout

ResultThe title readsWhat the number is
WonBet Won · +$38.75Your profit — the payout minus your stake. A winning free bet shows the whole payout, because no cash was at risk.
LostBet Lost · −$25.00What you actually lost. A losing free bet realises nothing, so it reads $0.00.
RefundedBet Refunded · $25.00The stake handed back to you. A refunded free bet returns nothing, so it also reads $0.00.

The result is always spelled out in words, so nothing depends on reading a colour correctly.

One bet, or a roundup

DawBets grades tracked bets in passes, a few minutes apart. If exactly one of your bets settles in a pass, you get the individual notification above. If two or more settle in the same pass, they collapse into one roundup instead of a stack:

  • 12 bets settled · Net +$142.50
  • 8 won · 4 lost
  • Biggest win: Colorado Rockies Moneyline · +$38.75

The count and the net cover every bet in the set; the record on the second line is there because a positive net can hide an eight-loss day carried by one parlay. Tapping either kind opens My Bets with those bets surfaced, and long-pressing gives you a View My Bets action.

They respect silence, and quiet hours hold them

Settlement notifications are sent at the normal alert level, so Focus and Do Not Disturb suppress them and a silenced phone stays silent — a result you already own is not urgent. Bet alerts are the opposite, marked time-sensitive so a perishable price can break through. No expiry is set on a settlement push, so a phone that was off still receives it later.

If a bet settles inside your Quiet hours window, the result is queued rather than dropped, and delivered shortly after your window ends — everything held overnight arrives in one delivery, a roundup whenever more than one bet is waiting. A bet alert landing in the same window is discarded outright. See Quiet hours and daily alert limits.

A held result can still be lost

Prefs are re-checked when the queue is flushed. If your subscription lapses, or you turn Notifications or Settlement notifications off before your quiet window ends, the queued results are cleared without being sent — the queue exists to delay a notification, not to guarantee one. Your bets are unaffected: every settled bet is in My Bets either way.

What has to be true for one to arrive

On iOS: All four of these are on the iPhone app. There is no browser equivalent — the web Settings page shows a Push Notifications card badged Coming Soon.

  1. 1

Plus or Pro, at the moment of sending

An active trial, an App Store subscription and a referral comp period all count. The check happens when the notification is sent, not when you tracked the bet.

  2. 2

    iOS notification permission

iOS asks once per install, and cannot ask again if you declined — the way back is iOS Settings → DawBets → Notifications.

  3. 3

The Notifications switch in the app

Settings → Alerts → Notifications. This is a separate switch from the iOS permission and both must be on.

  4. 4

    Settlement notifications

Settings → Alerts → Notifications → Notification types. It is on by default, and the row only appears once you are on Plus or Pro with the master switch on.

Tap Send test notification under Check delivery on the same screen to separate a delivery problem from a settings one — it sends a real push on any plan. If the test arrives and settlements do not, the cause is one of the four above. Full setup, switch by switch, is in Turn on notifications on iPhone.

When DawBets sends nothing

  • A settled parlay is silent. Settlement pushes cover straight bets only today — a parlay, and each of its legs, settles with no notification at all. Check My Bets for the result.
  • A bet graded while you are looking at My Bets. Opening My Bets settles anything that is ready right there, and nothing is pushed for a result already on your screen.
  • Free accounts. Nothing is sent, including results that were queued while you were still subscribed.
  • Any browser. Push is the iPhone app only. On a laptop, My Bets is the place results appear.
  • A bet nothing can grade. If the result never arrives from our grading source, the bet stays open and there is no settlement to announce — see Bet stuck on open.

Bet responsibly

A settlement notification reports what happened; it is not a prompt to bet again. Sports betting is 21+ and legal only in some states, and an edge is not income. If betting has stopped being fun, read our responsible-gambling resources.

Common questions

Why did I get one notification for several settled bets?

Two or more of your bets settling in the same grading pass are combined into a single roundup showing the count and your net result, rather than a stack of separate alerts. Tap it to open My Bets, where each settled bet is listed individually.

My subscription lapsed. Will I still hear about bets I tracked earlier?

No. Your plan is checked at the moment the notification is sent, not when you tracked the bet, so a lapsed account receives no settlement notifications. Anything already queued during quiet hours is dropped too. The bets themselves still settle and still appear in My Bets.

Do I get a notification when a parlay settles?

No. Settlement notifications cover straight bets only right now — a parlay settles silently, and so do its legs. Open My Bets to see how it landed.

My bet settled hours ago and nothing arrived. What went wrong?

Check the four conditions: Plus or Pro, iOS permission, the master Notifications switch, and Settlement notifications. If it settled inside your quiet hours, look for one roundup after the window ends. Parlays never notify. Send test notification proves delivery works.

Can I get settlement alerts on my laptop?

Not today. The web Settings page shows a Push Notifications card badged Coming Soon, no browser is ever asked for permission, and no settlement is ever sent to one. On the web, My Bets is where results appear.
