Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel

Quick answer

You manage a plan where you bought it: a subscription bought on dawbets.com is changed or cancelled in Settings, and one bought in the iPhone app only through Apple. Cancelling never cuts you off on the spot — your plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and Settings shows you that exact date.

First: where did you subscribe?

This fork decides everything else on this page. If you paid on dawbets.com, you change your plan in Settings. If you bought it inside the iPhone app, Apple holds that subscription and only Apple can change or cancel it. App Store vs web billing has the full comparison.

Cancelling one does not cancel the other

If you hold both a web and an App Store subscription, each has to be cancelled where it was bought — the app’s Subscription screen says so when it can see both.

Upgrade from Plus to Pro

  1. 1

Open Settings or the pricing page

The button is in the My Subscription card in Settings, and on the Pro card on pricing.

  2. 2

    Tap the Pro button

It reads Upgrade to Pro in Settings and Subscribe to Pro on the pricing page; both do the same thing. On a live web subscription there is no second checkout and no card to re-enter — your subscription changes in place, and Pro unlocks as soon as the change is confirmed.

  3. 3

    Expect the invoice now

The difference between the two plans is billed immediately rather than being held over to next month’s bill.

Your billing cadence carries over: an annual Plus subscription becomes annual Pro, never monthly Pro.

If it says the upgrade is processing

Our payment provider confirms the change a few seconds after you tap. The page waits, and if the confirmation has not landed it says the upgrade is processing rather than pretending it failed. Reload Settings shortly and the new plan is there.

Checkout only ever sells a higher plan. The button for the plan you are already on, or a lower one, is disabled — and if the request reaches the server anyway it is refused, with a message pointing you back to account settings.

Move from Pro down to Plus

Downgrade to Plus sits in the My Subscription card in Settings, and only for a Pro subscriber on a healthy web subscription. Three things hide it: being on Plus already (nothing sits below Plus but Free, so cancel instead), a cancellation already scheduled, and a failed payment — the last two swap the buttons out for a banner.

Order matters: a downgrade is refused while a cancellation is pending, so reactivate first and the button comes back.

On iOS: The iPhone app offers the same move for a web-billed subscription — Switch to Plus on the Subscription screen, which opens dawbets.com to confirm. An App Store subscription changes plan through See All Plans instead.

Cancel a web subscription

  1. 1

    Open Settings

The My Subscription card is near the top of Settings.

  2. 2

    Tap Cancel subscription

A short note from Brent and Jason opens. The message box and the "closest fit" pill are optional, and you can tick to get a personal reply.

  3. 3

    Tap Continue to cancel

That hands you to our payment provider’s own cancellation page. Nothing is cancelled until you confirm there.

  4. 4

    Check the date

Settings then reads Canceling on your renewal date, and a confirmation email names the same date.

You keep what you have paid for

Cancelling schedules the end of the subscription — it switches nothing off today, and it is not a refund. Your plan works until the date Settings shows, then the account moves to Free on its own.

You may be offered a discount on your next few months to stay. It is a one-time offer on monthly plans only — annual subscribers, and anyone who has already taken it, will not see it.

Changed your mind before the end date? The card shows a Resubscribe banner that opens your billing portal, where you renew the same subscription — no new card. Once the date passes there is nothing to revive, and subscribing again is a fresh purchase.

Invoices, cards, and the billing portal

Manage billing in Settings opens our payment provider’s own portal: past invoices and receipts, the card on file, and renewing a subscription scheduled to cancel.

It shows only while a web-billed plan is on your profile with a billing account behind it. If you subscribed in the iPhone app there is none, so the button is simply absent — Apple holds those invoices instead.

The web page cannot see an App Store subscription

If the card reads "You’re on Free." while your badge says Plus or Pro, you are billed by Apple and there is nothing to fix here — App Store vs. dawbets.com billing explains that card and points you at the screen that can change the plan.

What you keep after cancelling

Nothing is deleted. Your account, tracked bets, saved sportsbooks and settings stay exactly as they were — the paid screens simply lock on the date shown, and unlock if you subscribe later. What each plan holds:

Bet responsibly

Sports betting is 21+ and legal only in some states. A subscription is a cost, not an income — never keep one, or a bankroll, you cannot comfortably afford. If betting has stopped being fun, our responsible-gambling resources are here.

Common questions

If I cancel today, do I lose access straight away?

No. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. Settings shows the exact date next to your plan, and the same date is repeated in your cancellation email.

How do I upgrade from Plus to Pro?

From Settings or the pricing page. There is no second checkout — the change is applied to your existing subscription, Pro unlocks as soon as it is confirmed, and you are invoiced for the difference right away rather than next month.

Why can’t I find the option to switch from Pro down to Plus?

It only appears for a Pro subscriber on a healthy web subscription. A cancellation already scheduled, or a payment that failed, swaps those buttons out for a banner — clear that first and the option comes back.

I can’t find Manage billing in Settings.

It appears only while a web-billed plan is on your profile. If you subscribed through the App Store there is no web billing account behind it — manage that subscription, and find its receipts, through Apple instead.

Will I get a refund for the rest of the month if I cancel?

Cancelling is not a refund — it gives you the rest of the period you already paid for. There is no self-serve refund button, but if a charge looks wrong, email [team@dawbets.com](mailto:team@dawbets.com) and we will look at it. For a purchase made in the iPhone app, refunds are requested through Apple, from the app’s Subscription screen or your Apple account.

Do I keep my tracked bets if I cancel?

Yes. Nothing is deleted when a plan ends. Your bets, stats, saved books and settings all stay put — the tracking screens are just locked until you subscribe again.
