Delete your account
Account, plans & billing · Web & iOS · Last updated August 28, 2026
Quick answer
The website has no Delete account button yet, so on the web you email team@dawbets.com from the address on the account and we do it for you. The iPhone app has the button: Settings, scroll to the bottom, tap Delete account. Deleting ends a card subscription straight away, but an App Store subscription is billed by Apple and has to be cancelled with Apple first.
Where the Delete account button is
On the web: There is no Delete account control on Settings on the website yet. Email team@dawbets.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
On iOS: Open Settings — tap your account avatar in the top right, or the gear icon on My Bets — then scroll to the very bottom of the list and tap Delete account. A confirmation alert headed Delete your account? appears — tap Delete account in the alert to go through with it, or Cancel to back out.
If you read our privacy policy, saw "go to Settings and choose Delete Account", and then could not find it in your browser — that is why. The in-product button is currently iPhone-only.
Cancel a paid subscription first
Deleting does not refund the rest of the month
A card subscription is cancelled immediately when you delete, not at the end of the period you already paid for. If you have paid time left, cancel the plan first, use the days you bought, and delete the account once it lapses. See Change or cancel your plan.
| Where you subscribed | What deleting does to it | What you have to do |
|---|---|---|
| By card, on the website | Cancels it straight away | Nothing — but any time left on the period is gone |
| Through the App Store, in the iPhone app | Nothing. Apple bills it and we cannot cancel it | Cancel it with Apple before you delete |
To cancel an App Store subscription: open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, choose DawBets, then Cancel Subscription. You can also go straight to Apple’s subscriptions page — on any account above Free, the delete confirmation in our app offers a Manage subscription button that opens it for you. App Store vs web billing explains which one you are on.
What happens the moment you delete
- A card subscription is cancelled with our payment processor there and then.
- The account is locked. Every signed-in request from the app and the website is refused from that point on.
- You are signed out on every device, not just the one you deleted from.
- A confirmation email is sent to the address on the account, subject "Your account has been deleted".
- Your data is queued for erasure rather than wiped on the spot — see below.
When your data is actually erased
Deactivation is instant. Erasing the underlying data is a separate job, and it does not fire the moment you tap the button — someone on our team runs it, no sooner than the retention window in the privacy policy.
Exactly what that job removes, and the two things it leaves behind, are listed in delete or export your data — which is also where to ask for a copy of your bets, if you want one before they go.
What the confirmation email says
That email tells you your data "has been permanently deleted". What is true at that moment is narrower: the account is locked, you are signed out everywhere, and the data is queued. If you need it confirmed that erasure has actually completed, ask us at team@dawbets.com.
If you change your mind
Email team@dawbets.com as soon as you can, from the address on the account. While the account is only deactivated your bets and settings still exist, so bringing it back is sometimes possible. Once erasure has run there is nothing left to restore — that is the whole point of it. There is no undo button in either app.
Signing in again, and starting over
After deleting, your email and password may still be accepted at sign in — and then the app will send you straight back to the login page. That is expected, not a bug: the credentials are still valid, the account behind them is not.
You can create a new account at sign up, but not with the same email address until the old one has been erased; until then the form tells you an account already exists. A different address works immediately. A restored account does not get a fresh trial either — restarting an expired trial is blocked at the database level. See Free trial.
Deleting DawBets does not close your sportsbook accounts
We are a pricing tool, not a sportsbook — we never held your money, and deleting here does nothing to your accounts or balances at any book. If you are leaving because betting has stopped being fun, close those accounts too and use the free, confidential help listed in our responsible-gambling resources. 21+.
Common questions
Where is Delete Account on the website?
There is not one yet. The only in-product delete button is in the iPhone app, at the bottom of Settings. On the web, email team@dawbets.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?
A subscription paid by card is cancelled immediately. A subscription bought through the App Store is billed by Apple, and we cannot touch it — cancel that one in your Apple account before you delete, or Apple keeps charging you.
Is my data gone the moment I delete?
No. The account is locked and signed out everywhere immediately, and your data is queued for permanent erasure. The erasure step is run by our team rather than instantly. Email team@dawbets.com if you need confirmation that it has been completed.
I deleted my account but I am still being charged.
That will be an App Store subscription — Apple bills it, and deleting your DawBets account does not stop it. Cancel it in the iPhone Settings app under your name, then Subscriptions. If the charge came from a card we billed, contact support, because that should not happen.
Can I get my account back?
Possibly, if you email team@dawbets.com before erasure runs — your data still exists until then. Once erasure has completed, nothing can be restored.
Can I sign up again with the same email address?
Not until the old account has been fully erased; until then the sign-up form tells you an account already exists. A different email address works straight away.
