Quick answer
Sign up at dawbets.com/signup with an email address and password, or with Google or X. We then email you a confirmation link, and the account does not work until you click it — in the same browser you signed up in. No credit card is needed at any point, and every new account starts on a seven-day Pro trial.
What you need
- An email address you can open right now, and a password. Use at least 8 characters — that is what the signup form asks for and what the web password-reset page enforces.
- Or a Google or X account, if you would rather not manage another password.
- No credit card. There is no card field anywhere in signup, and the trial ends by dropping you to the free plan rather than charging you.
On iOS: The iPhone app offers a different set of buttons: Sign in with Apple, Google, and email and password. There is no X button in the app and no Apple button on the web, so sign up with a method you can use on both — email and password, or Google — if you plan to use the app and the website.
Sign up with an email address
- 1
Open the signup page
Go to dawbets.com/signup. In the iPhone app, tap Use email on the welcome screen.
- 2
Enter your email and a password
Then tap Start Free Trial on the web — Claim your offer if you arrived on a friend’s invite — or Create account in the app. The provider buttons sit alongside the form if you prefer one of those.
- 3
Watch for the "Check your email" card
The form is replaced by a card naming the exact address we sent to. Check it for typos before you go hunting in your inbox.
- 4
Click the link in the email
Open it in the same browser you signed up in. We finish signing you in automatically and drop you on the Explore screen.
Same browser, and soon
The confirmation link carries a one-time code that only completes against the browser that started signup — forwarding it to your phone, or opening it in a different browser, can never finish. The link is also short-lived, so click it while the email is still fresh. If it has expired, sign up again with the same address to get a new one.
Why confirmation is required
Clicking the link is not a formality — it is what stops automated signups, and it replaced the CAPTCHA we removed so the iPhone app could sign people in. Until you click it there is no session at all, so none of the first-run setup runs: no welcome email, no billing record, no referral credit. Trying to sign in first gives you *Please verify your email before signing in.*
Google and X sign-ups skip the email entirely — the provider has already verified who you are, and you land straight on Explore.
Your free Pro trial
Every new account starts on a seven-day trial of Pro, the top plan, with no card on file. When it ends you move to the free plan automatically — you are never charged unless you choose to subscribe. What the trial unlocks, the reminders it sends and what changes on the last day are in how your free Pro trial works; current prices are on the pricing page.
The clock starts at signup, not at confirmation
Your trial is dated from the moment the account is created, so a day spent ignoring the confirmation email is a day of Pro you do not get back. Trials cannot be restarted. Confirm as soon as the email lands.
If the confirmation email does not arrive
- 1
Check spam and promotions first
The signup card points you there for a reason — it is the first place a missing confirmation email turns up.
- 2
On the web, submit the signup form again
There is no resend button on the website. Re-submitting the signup form with the same address sends a fresh link to an unconfirmed account.
- 3
In the iPhone app, tap Resend email
It sits on the "check your inbox" screen and goes quiet for about half a minute after each successful send.
- 4
Then stop and wait
Confirmation and reset emails are rate limited. Hammering the form produces fewer emails, not more — send one, then give it a while before you try again.
If signup instead shows You already have an account, that address is already confirmed and no new email was sent, on purpose. Use the Log in button on that card, or Reset it if you have forgotten the password — both carry your address across so you do not retype it.
Signing up from a friend’s invite
Open the invite link before you sign up and the referral code is remembered for you, including across the email round-trip and any Google or X redirect. The friend perk is a discount on your first month, applied when you subscribe monthly — it does not add days to your trial, so everyone starts on the same seven days. Refer a friend covers both sides of the deal.

Common questions
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. The trial takes no card, and when it ends your account moves to the free plan instead of being charged.
Why do I have to confirm my email?
Confirmation is what stops automated signups — it is the defence that replaced our CAPTCHA. Until you click the link there is no session, so nothing on the account gets set up and you cannot sign in.
Can I get another confirmation email?
On the web, submit the signup form again with the same address. In the iPhone app, tap Resend email on the check-your-inbox screen. Auth emails are rate limited, so send one and wait rather than retrying repeatedly.
Does my trial start when I sign up or when I confirm?
When you sign up. Confirming a day later leaves you a day less of Pro, and trials cannot be restarted — so click the link as soon as it arrives.
I clicked the link and it just spins. What went wrong?
It was almost certainly opened in a different browser or device from the one you signed up in, which the one-time code cannot complete against. Open the same email in the original browser, or log in if an earlier click already confirmed you.
