Why am I not getting bet alerts?

Prove delivery first

First find out whether this phone can receive a DawBets push at all. That check splits the problem in half.

   Open Settings, then Notifications

   In the DawBets iPhone app, open Settings and tap Notifications under the Alerts heading.

   Scroll to Check delivery

   Tap Send test notification. It sends a real push to every device registered to your account — not only the one in your hand — and it works on every plan.

   Read what happens

   A line under the button reports how many of your devices it reached. If the push lands on this phone, delivery works and a rule below is filtering your alerts out. If the button is not on the screen at all, iOS permission or the account switch is missing.

The four things that must all be true

A bet alert clears four gates. Work down them in order — the first is the one people miss.

1. A Plus or Pro entitlement. Bet alerts are never sent to free accounts — the job drops them whatever your switches say. The Bet alerts screen leads with that on a free account and keeps the switch and its rules behind it.
2. iOS notification permission, granted once per install.
3. The account’s Notifications switch, on Settings → Notifications.
4. The Bet alerts switch, on Settings → Bet alerts.

Allowing the iOS prompt is not the same as turning notifications on inside DawBets — they are two separate switches. The Bet alerts screen names whichever gate is missing at the top, with one button that fixes it.

iOS asks once. If you tapped Don’t Allow, the app cannot ask again: open iOS Settings → DawBets → Notifications, turn them back on, and return to DawBets, which re-checks on the way back in. Your rules stayed saved.

Quiet hours and the daily cap

If alerts arrive all morning and then stop, you have spent your Daily alert cap. Raise it on Settings → Bet alerts → Bet alert rules, or raise your minimum EV so the cap goes on stronger bets. It rolls over at midnight in the time zone your quiet hours were saved with — which is not yours if you have never set a window. Quiet hours and daily limits covers both.

Rules that match nothing

• ●Minimum EV. A new account starts partway up the slider, stricter than the widest setting DawBets accepts — drag it left for everything the engine will consider. (Expected value is how much better than the fair price a bet is.)
• ●Sportsbooks and Teams. Leaving either empty falls back to your My sportsbooks and My teams lists, so a short follow list quietly becomes a narrow alert filter.
• ●Leagues, Markets and the odds range. Each is another condition a bet must satisfy. Stack enough and nothing on the board qualifies.
• ●Alert me outside my filters. This ignores every filter above — books, leagues, markets, teams, odds — but still respects your minimum EV, so it will not rescue a threshold set too high.

A new phone, a reinstall, or a shared phone

Each install registers itself with whichever account is signed in, and a phone belongs to one account at a time — signing a second account in on that handset removes the first one’s claim. Apple also reports a device that has gone dead, after a reinstall or a notifications reset, and DawBets drops it at once.

Either way: open DawBets on that phone while signed in to re-register it, then run Send test notification.

Silences that are not bugs

• ●Only movers alert. A bet qualifies only if its price has just changed. One sitting on the board untouched never fires an alert, however good it looks — browse those in the bet feed.
• ●One alert per run. Each pass sends one alert — the highest-EV bet — with the others counted as “· N more” on the last line. The rest are waiting on the feed; no second push follows.
• ●The same bet does not alert twice, including at your other sportsbooks — those collapse into one alert naming the book with the best price. Only a bet that has aged out of your alert history can come round again.
• ●Pre-game only. Live and in-play prices never alert.
• ●Alerts expire. If your phone is off or offline past a bet alert’s short life at Apple, Apple drops it rather than delivering an edge that has gone.
• ●A run can be skipped. When the odds feed cannot vouch that its prices are current, DawBets sends nothing that pass rather than alert on prices it cannot stand behind. The next pass retries.
