Quick answer

Type your email address into the Email field on the DawBets login page first, then tap Forgot password? — the button reads that field, so on an empty form it does nothing but ask you to fill it in. The emailed link is short-lived and only works where you asked for it — the same browser, or the same iPhone if you asked in the app. Setting the new password signs you straight in.

Send yourself a reset link

A password reset starts on the login screen, not in Settings — and the order of the steps matters, because the Forgot password? button reads the Email box on that same form.

Open the login page
Go to Log in. If you are staring at "Invalid email or password. Please try again.", you are in the right place.

Type your email address into the Email field
This is the step people skip. The button sends a reset to whatever address is in that box when you tap it — nothing is remembered from a previous visit.

Tap Forgot password?
It sits in the small print at the foot of the login card, just above the "Don't have an account?" line.

Look for the green confirmation
"Password reset email sent. Check your inbox." appears just above the Log In button. If you get "Enter your email address first" instead, the Email field was empty when you tapped.

Check spam before you ask again

There is an hourly cap on how many account emails DawBets sends, so hammering the button is a way to stop mail arriving at all. Look in your spam and promotions folders first, then wait before trying once more.

Choose the new password

The link lands on /reset-password, which asks for the new password twice and refuses to submit when the two do not match.

Length is the only rule. The password field's placeholder names the minimum it wants. There is no required capital letter, digit or symbol.
The web page is stricter than your account needs. Its minimum is higher than the one the server enforces, so a password you choose here is accepted everywhere, including the iPhone app.
It has to be genuinely new. Re-using your current password is refused with "Your new password must be different from your current password."
Let your password manager in. Both fields are marked as new-password fields, so 1Password, iCloud Keychain and the rest offer to generate one and then update the stored credential rather than autofilling the old one.

Saving it signs you in. The page shows Password updated and a Continue to DawBets button through to Explore — there is no second login to get through.

When the link does not work

Three things break a reset link, and the page tells you which one you hit:

Ask from the device you read email on

The one-time code in the link can only be redeemed by the browser that requested the reset — that browser holds the other half of it. Ask on your laptop, open the email on your phone, and it can never complete, however fast you click. Fix a broken confirmation or reset link has the rest of the recovery steps.

Each of those screens offers a Go to login button. It reminds you to request a new link, but it does not carry your address across — type your email in again before tapping Forgot password?.

Resetting from the iPhone app

On iOS: Tap Forgot password? beneath the sign-in fields. The app answers "Check your email for a link to reset your password. Open it on this iPhone — the link can only be completed here." Take that literally: the link the app sends opens DawBets on that iPhone and works nowhere else, so opening it on a computer gets you nothing.

On iOS: Opening it raises a Set a new password sheet with you already signed in. Not now is a real answer — your old password keeps working — but the link is single-use, so declining means sending another one later.

What you cannot do

Change your password from Settings. There is no password control on the Settings page on either platform. Forgot password? is the only route, and it works the same whether or not you remember the old password.
Sign in with a password on an account you made with Google or X. Nothing sets a password when you use a provider button, so that button is the way in. If it stops working, email team@dawbets.com rather than creating a second account.
Turn on two-factor authentication. DawBets does not offer 2FA today, on the web or on iPhone.
Change the email address on your account. There is no self-serve control for it — team@dawbets.com can move it for you.

Tip

Resetting because you think someone else got in? Once the new password is set, and if you are on a paid plan, check My Wager Sizing in Settings — your bankroll and risk tolerance are what DawBets uses to suggest stake sizes. Betting is 21+; only ever stake money you can afford to lose.

I tapped Forgot password? and nothing happened

Type your email address into the Email field first. The button reads whatever is in that box when you tap it, and refuses to send a reset to an empty address — it shows "Enter your email address first" instead.

How long does a reset link last?

Minutes, not days. If yours has expired, go back to the login page, type your email address in again, and tap Forgot password? for a fresh one. Each link works only once, so open the newest email you asked for.

The page says it could not verify my reset link

Almost always because the email was opened somewhere other than the browser that requested the reset. That browser holds the other half of the one-time code. Request the link from the device you read email on, then open it there.

Can I change my password from Settings?

No — there is no password control on the Settings page on the web or in the iPhone app. Use Forgot password? on the login page instead. It works exactly the same whether or not you still know your current password.

What are the password requirements?

A minimum length, printed in the password field itself, and nothing else — no required capital, digit or symbol. The reset page asks for a longer password than your account strictly needs, so one accepted there works on the website and in the iPhone app.

Do I have to log in again afterwards?

No. Setting the new password signs you in on the spot, and the page hands you a Continue to DawBets button straight through to the app.
