Signing in on iPhone

The iOS app · iOS app · Last updated August 28, 2026

Quick answer

The DawBets iPhone app needs an account before it will open — there is no guest mode. Sign in with Apple, Google, or the same email and password you use on dawbets.com, and your plan, your tracked bets and your alert rules come with you. A second account starts from scratch and carries no subscription.

One account, both places

Use the credentials you already have. Signing in on the iPhone with the account you use at dawbets.com gives you the same tier, the same tracked bets, the same followed books and teams, and the same alert rules — the app is a thin client, so every number it shows comes from the same place the website reads.

Creating a second account instead is the one mistake worth avoiding. A subscription belongs to the account that bought it and does not follow you to a new one, so a second account leaves your plan, your tracked bets and your history behind on the first. Current plan prices are on the pricing page.

Three ways in

  • Sign in with Apple — one system sheet, nothing typed, and you never leave the app. That is why it is listed first.
  • Continue with Google — a Google sheet opens over the app for a moment and then hands you back.
  • Use email — your address and a password. On a phone that has signed in before, that pill reads Sign in with email instead. When you are setting a password, a live requirement row under the field tells you when it is long enough. This is the only route that asks you to confirm your address first.

Signed up with Apple or Google? You have no password

The email route will refuse you, and the refusal is not about your typing — no password was ever set on that account. The app says so when it fails, and the fix is the Sign in with Apple or Continue with Google button that sits above the fields.

Why the app asks first

There is no guest mode and no skip. Signed out, you get the welcome screen, and the board on it is real: it loads actual rows from the public feed rather than a mock-up, with the EV figure marked as the thing an account unlocks. Being the public feed, it runs behind the live one — Why your feed says delayed.

That screen also carries a Need help? link to team@dawbets.com — deliberately, because the in-app feedback form lives in Settings, and someone who cannot sign in cannot reach Settings.

Confirming your email

  1. 1

Sign up on the Use email route

Enter your address and a password. The app lands on a Confirm your email screen and stays there — quitting the app does not lose it.

  2. 2

    Open the link we send

Open it anywhere. Confirming on a laptop is fine; the app does not need to be the thing that opens it.

  3. 3

Come back and tap I’ve confirmed — sign in

That button is on the same screen and carries your address across, so you only re-type the password.

Tip

The Resend email button has a short cooldown — after a successful send it reads Email sent and stays greyed out until the window clears, so it cannot fire twice. Check spam before you try again. If the address itself was wrong, Use a different email on the same screen clears the pending signup so you can start over; you do not need to delete the app.

On iOS: Today the confirmation link opens the DawBets website, not the app. That is expected, not broken. The web page cannot finish the job by itself — the key that completes the sign-in is held by the app on the phone you signed up on — so it offers a link reading Open the app. Tap that and the sign-in completes.

If you are reading the email somewhere other than that iPhone, the handoff has nothing to hand back to — opening the link still confirms your address, so go back to the app afterwards and tap I’ve confirmed — sign in.

Resetting your password

Where the reset link goes depends on where you asked for it, and the two are not interchangeable.

Where you tapped “Forgot password?”Where the emailed link goes
In the iPhone appBack into the app on that same iPhone, which opens a Set a new password sheet
On dawbets.comThe website’s own reset page, in your browser

So a reset started in the app has to be opened on that iPhone — the app is the only thing holding the code that can complete it, which is why the app says so on screen when it sends the mail.

A reset link only works once

Set the password while the sheet is up. Tapping Not now answers the ask and spends the link, and an expired or already-used link leaves Save new password disabled with an explanation. Either way the fix is the same: sign out, tap Forgot password? again, and open the fresh email on your iPhone.

Signing out, and what leaves the phone

Sign out from Settings. Two things are wiped immediately, before anything else runs: any home-screen widgets drop back to their neutral state rather than showing the last session’s money, and your tracked bets are removed from iPhone Spotlight search. Games stay in Spotlight — those are public schedule data, not yours.

Nothing else is lost. Your alert rules, filters, followed books and profile live on the account, so they are all there again the next time you sign in. See DawBets on iPhone for what the app adds once you are in, and iPhone app troubleshooting if you were signed out without asking to be.

Bet responsibly

Sports betting is 21+ and legal only in some states. An edge is not income — never stake money you need. If betting has stopped being fun, read our responsible-gambling resources.

Common questions

Do I need a separate account for the app?

No. Sign in with the account you already use on dawbets.com and everything carries over, including your subscription and your tracked bets. A second account starts empty and pays for itself separately.

I never got the confirmation email.

Wait a moment for the resend cooldown to clear, tap **Resend email** on the Confirm your email screen, then check spam. That screen survives quitting the app. If the address was wrong, tap **Use a different email**.

The confirmation link opened Safari, not the app. Is that broken?

No. The link points at the website today, and the page offers an **Open the app** link back into DawBets to finish the job. Follow that on your iPhone and the sign-in completes.

Can I look around the app before signing up?

Not inside the app — there is no guest mode. The signed-out screen does show real rows from the public board so you can see what the product actually is, with the EV figure marked as the part an account unlocks.

My reset link will not open on my laptop.

If you tapped Forgot password? inside the app, the link comes back to that iPhone and can only be completed there. Open the email on the phone. A reset started on dawbets.com opens the website instead.

I signed up with Apple. What is my password?

You do not have one. Apple and Google sign-ins never set a password, so the email form will always reject you. Use the same button you originally signed up with, at the top of the sign-in screen.
