Why your feed says delayed
Finding bets · Web & iOS · Last updated August 28, 2026
Quick answer
Your feed is held back because you are signed out or on the Free plan. Those feeds are served a snapshot of the board we already took, deliberately kept a step behind the live prices. Plus and Pro read the live board, and refreshing a held-back feed will not make it any newer.
The short answer
Nothing is broken and it is not your connection. Signed-out visitors and Free accounts are served a snapshot of the board that we took earlier and held back on purpose. Plus and Pro read the live board instead. Pulling to refresh, reinstalling the app or changing your filters will not make a held-back board newer.
The prices you are looking at were correct when we took them. They are simply not the current ones, and a book can have moved off any of them since. Reading the board as it stands is what a paid plan changes.
It is a held-back snapshot, not a slow refresh
This is the part that surprises people: nothing is being filtered out of your feed for being too new, and refreshing faster on your end changes nothing.
- 1
We take a snapshot
On a fixed cycle the server pulls the positive-edge, pre-game bets off the live board and keeps them in memory as one snapshot.
- 2
We keep the previous one too
When a new snapshot is taken, the one before it is kept rather than thrown away.
- 3
You are served the older one
Restricted feeds read the previous snapshot, not the new one, so the age we print is real. The app reports the snapshot’s actual age, rounded, and never states it as younger than the advertised figure.
So a held-back board always sits between one and two full cycles behind the live one — and every restricted visitor on that server sees the same board until it rotates. Your filters are then applied to that snapshot in memory, which is why narrowing to one sportsbook or league still returns a held-back list rather than a fresh one.
Check the price before you confirm it
A held-back price is more likely to have moved, or gone, by the time you tap through. Treat the number on the card as a starting point and confirm the price on the sportsbook’s own slip. If the book is now offering worse than the fair price shown on the card, the edge is gone — skip it.
How to tell which board you are on
On the web: On the Bet Feed the green LIVE pill next to the page title appears only when your prices are live. When they are not, that pill is absent and a line above the cards states how often your board updates, followed by Get real-time updates →. There is no per-card tag — the statement is made once, at the top.
On iOS: The iPhone app says it as a tappable pill above the cards reading Odds delayed with Plus sees them live underneath; tapping it opens the upgrade route. The same pill shows on other screens built from the same snapshot, such as a sportsbook’s profile.
What else is capped, and what is not
Signed-out and Free feeds share the same caps: a short fixed list of bets with no infinite scroll, and the EV% kept on the first card only and hidden on the rest. The card beneath the last bet tells you how many more bets currently match inside that snapshot. The fair price — our no-vig estimate of what the bet is really worth — stays on every card at every tier, so you can always compare it against the book’s price yourself.
Signing up for a free account, before paying anything, changes these:
| Signed out | Free account | |
|---|---|---|
| Books and leagues | A short fixed list, no matter what you select | Every book and league we cover |
| Which bets qualify | Only bets above a minimum edge | Every positive-edge bet in the snapshot |
| Sportsbook button | Opens the book’s homepage | Opens the bet itself where the book supports it |
| Prices at other books | Hidden | Shown on the card |
| Filters | All locked | Sportsbooks and leagues unlocked |
When the held-back board goes empty instead
If the snapshot stops refreshing for longer than the honesty window allows, we stop serving it altogether. You get an empty board with a retry — on the web, Fetching the latest data — rather than very old prices dressed up as merely held back. It retries on its own every few seconds, so leaving the screen open is usually enough. This is not a filter problem or an account problem, and it hits paid feeds too.
Getting the live board
On Plus and Pro the feed reads the board directly: it refreshes the moment prices change rather than on a rotation, the cap on how many bets you see comes off, and the EV% is on every bet. Current prices are on the pricing page.

New accounts start on a seven-day trial of the top tier with no card required, which is why a board that was live and suddenly is not usually means the trial ended rather than something breaking. Plans and what each one includes has the full picture.
Bet responsibly
Sports betting is 21+ and legal only in some states. A live board finds better prices; it does not make any single bet safe, and an edge is not income. Never stake money you need — responsible-gambling resources are here.
Common questions
Will refreshing more often make my feed newer?
No. You are served a snapshot that was taken earlier, so pulling to refresh returns the same board until that snapshot rotates. A refresh can occasionally land on a different server holding its own snapshot, so the list may shuffle slightly — it is still the same held-back window.
Are the delayed prices wrong?
They were right when we took them. Because odds move constantly, a held-back price is more likely to be gone by the time you tap through — which is exactly what the live board fixes. Always confirm the price on the sportsbook’s slip.
Why can I only see a handful of bets?
Signed-out and Free feeds are capped at the top few bets and infinite scroll is switched off for them, so scrolling loads nothing more. The card under the last bet shows how many others currently match.
Why is the EV blurred on every bet but the first?
Free and signed-out responses keep the EV% on the top bet as one concrete preview and hide it on the rest. Tapping a blurred figure opens the upgrade prompt. The fair price stays visible on every card, at every tier.
Is the delay why a bet vanished from my feed?
Not usually. Bets drop out when the game starts, when the book stops offering the price, or when they fall down the ranking. A held-back board simply shows those changes later than a live one does.
