The Daily Slate on your Lock Screen

What the card shows

One card, for the whole day’s tracked money: on the Lock Screen, and in the Dynamic Island on the iPhones that have one. It is the only Live Activity DawBets raises: there is no per-bet card, so a busy evening never stacks several DawBets cards on one screen.

• ●One money figure, which flips exactly once. Until the day’s first bet settles it shows the stake still riding, tagged AT RISK. From that first settle onward it shows realised profit or loss, with the sign written into the number so you are never reading colour alone.
• ●A counts line — live, to come, won, lost, pushes, in that order, with the zeros left out so you are not doing arithmetic on your Lock Screen.
• ●A freshness glyph. While DawBets is feeding the card it carries a live symbol. Once updates stop arriving the glyph changes shape, the card says "Waiting for updates…", and it hands back the live counts rather than keep asserting them.

When it appears, and when it clears

   It goes up at the first tip

   Not when you place a bet, and not when you track one — the card waits until a game you have a tracked bet on has actually started. A day that is still entirely pre-game gets no card at all.

   It updates when the app checks in

   There is no background feed behind it. The card reconciles when you open DawBets, return to it from the background, or track a bet — between those moments it shows the numbers from the last check.

   It closes itself once the day is graded

   Once the last tracked bet of the day has settled, the next check-in puts the final number on the card, holds it there briefly so you catch it on the next pickup, and then takes it down.

What it deliberately leaves out

• ●Scores, and "3 of 4 winning". The app has no score feed. Rather than guess a verdict from a scoreline, it prints nothing at all where those lines would sit.
• ●Bets with no start time. A tracked bet whose event start is missing cannot honestly be called live or still to come, so it is left off the card instead of counted somewhere wrong.
• ●Free-bet stakes. The face value of a free bet is not your money, so it never counts toward the stake at risk. It still counts in the won and lost tally.
• ●Anything you did not track. The card reads tracked bets only — a bet placed at a book and never added to My Bets is invisible to it.

Turning it off

Two switches govern the card, and the app’s own row tells you which one is holding it back.

The money is marked sensitive, so iOS blanks it wherever your device is set to hide sensitive content on a locked screen. Even so, the card is built to be read at a glance — if you would rather nothing about your betting sat there at all, turn Daily Slate off.

If the card is not there

• ●You are on Free. Bet tracking is a Plus feature, so a Free account has nothing for the card to read. A new account starts on a seven-day Pro trial, which covers it — see How your free Pro trial works and Plans.
• ●Nothing has started yet. An all-pre-game day gets no card until the first game tips.
• ●Live Activities are off for DawBets in iOS Settings. The Daily Slate row says so and offers the way back.
• ●You are signed out. Signing out ends the card at once — it is your money, and it must not outlive the session that stood behind it.
• ●It says "Waiting for updates…". DawBets has not refreshed the card for long enough that a settle looks overdue. Open the app and it recomputes on the spot.
• ●Yesterday’s card is still up. Open the app. Every refresh ends any card that is not narrating today’s slate, and that step runs even with no connection.
