Quick answer
A blank EV or a refused same-game price is deliberate: when DawBets has no fair estimate it can stand behind for that exact combination, it shows you nothing instead of a number it already knows is wrong. The combined price, the boost and the cross-book comparison keep working.
Why a number goes missing
Every message on this page is a refusal to guess, not a bug. The one shortcut available — multiplying the legs’ fair prices together — assumes the legs are independent, and a same-game parlay exists precisely because they are not. That shortcut would hand you a confident-looking edge that is not there, so when nothing better is available we publish no EV at all.
No EV on a same-game slip
The combined price on a same-game slip is real — your sportsbook quoted that exact combination. An EV beside it would need a fair price: an estimate of what the combination is genuinely worth. For correlated legs that comes from measured data on how often those two markets have actually landed together, and that data covers only a slice of the board — one game, the league same-game is in beta for, a short ticket, and market pairs with enough observed games behind them and a recent fit. Anything outside it returns no EV.
Where a measured estimate does exist, only the iPhone ticket prints it. The web parlay rail shows no EV on a same-game slip either way, so a blank there is not a verdict on your legs.
Nothing else breaks. You still get the book’s combined price, any boost you applied, and the comparison against other books. For a number on a same-game ticket, build it in Same-game mode in the Boost Builder (a Pro feature), which publishes an EV range rather than a single figure.
Legs that can never both hit
A combination that is impossible — an Over and its own Under, for instance — is rejected outright rather than priced at zero. The slip does not say so in words today; you simply get no EV.
On the web: In the web parlay rail, the line under a same-game price shows the average price at other books, and reads EV unavailable for SGP when no other book will quote the combination. That message is about the missing comparison, not about your legs — the rail has no EV to print on a same-game slip in the first place.
On iOS: On iPhone, a same-game slip the engine can price shows that fair price and edge on the ticket. When it cannot, the caption reads EV unavailable for a same-game price.
When the Boost Builder refuses to build
Same-game builds fail loudly and specifically. Each message names a move you can actually make:

Books that support same-game parlays but are not in the beta appear in the picker greyed out as Soon. A book with no same-game support at all never appears — switching to it will not help, and Multi-game mode works at every book.
When live pricing is down
“This usually clears in a minute. Try again, or switch to Multi-game.” is the same message for every reason a live quote failed to arrive — a vendor throttle, an outage, a configuration problem. You cannot act on the difference, so we do not ask you to. Waiting is usually right, and both moves are on the card: Try again and Switch to Multi-game.
Getting rate-limited
Builds, game-list loads and price checks each have a per-minute ceiling per account; the “too many requests” message names the wait. Pinning a game in the Game dropdown before you build costs far fewer quotes than an unpinned build, which prices several games at once.
When Add to slip can’t hand you the bet
Add to slip opens your sportsbook’s one-tap combined slip link. When the book returns no such link for a same-game combination, you are told it “didn’t return a one-tap link for this combo — build it as a same-game parlay in their app”, and we open the book instead. We will not open the legs one at a time
Four singles are a different bet at a different payout from a four-leg same-game parlay, so opening them separately and calling it done would be a lie. Multi-game tickets do offer Open each leg in a new tab, because there the legs really are separate bets. Betting is 21+ — never stake money you need.
Common questions
Why does my same-game parlay have a price but no EV?
The price comes from your sportsbook. An EV needs a fair estimate, and we only have one when we have measured data we trust for those exact legs — and only the iPhone ticket prints it; the web parlay rail shows none on a same-game slip at all. The alternative would be a number built on an assumption that is wrong for same-game legs.
I keep getting “Same-game pricing is temporarily unavailable”. Is it broken?
Usually it is a short-lived failure to get a live quote for the combination. Tap Try again in a minute, or Switch to Multi-game.
Two of my legs were rejected as overlapping. Why?
A same-game ticket takes at most one leg per market and player, so an Over and an Under of the same total, or two lines on one player’s market, cannot both be in it. Swap one for a different market or a different player.
What does “no fair-priceable same-game parlay right now” mean?
Games were on the board and that book could not price a single one of them — it refused the combinations, or nothing resolved to price them fairly against. Either way the builder skipped them rather than show an invented edge. Try a different sportsbook, or switch to Multi-game mode.
Why won’t this book combine my legs?
The sportsbook refused that exact combination — it is the book’s answer, not an outage, so rebuilding returns the same result. Swap in a different leg, or move the ticket onto another game.
