The top strip: which game, and when

The strip across the top names the away and home teams by abbreviation, in AWAY @ HOME order, then the league. On the right is the start time — the clock alone for a game today, weekday plus time for later — or a red LIVE dot if it has started. The ··· button holds view all markets, share and hide.

The badge, the selection and the market

The left column reads downwards: the badge, the bet itself in bold, then its market in small grey type. The badge is shorthand for one thing only — the size of the edge — on rungs used everywhere the app prints them:

• ●EV Edge is expected value: how much better the book’s price is than the bet is truly worth, as a share of your stake. 4.0% is worth about four cents per dollar staked *averaged over many bets*, not on this one.
• ●Fair is our estimate of the true price, from stripping the sportsbook margin (the vig) out of a sharp book’s two sides. When the book beats Fair, the bet is priced in your favour.
• ●The tiny logo beside Fair is the book that line came from. (Avg) instead means no single sharp book qualified, so a fee-adjusted average of several was used.

The price row, and every other book

The row underneath shows the book we point you at, its logo and its price. The stacked logos are the other books with the same bet; the number beside them is the total. Tap the row for a compare sheet listing every book, best price first, each one below the top labelled with how much less profit it pays. Compare odds across sportsbooks takes that sheet apart.

The bet amount, and why some cards have none

A line reading Bet $18 → $16 gives the stake we suggest and the profit if it wins. On Plus and Pro that stake is fractional Kelly against the bankroll and risk tolerance saved under Settings → My Wager Sizing; until you set them it falls back to a default bankroll at the middle risk setting, and player props are halved deliberately. A rounding step is applied last, after both, and small stakes stay unrounded on purpose.

Cards badged Fan Bet or Caution Bet — and cards with no badge — show no bet amount, because Kelly recommends no stake on a non-positive edge. A · Max $… figure after the win amount appears only on prediction-market books that publish an order-book limit. More in How we size your wager.

The buttons, and what a flash of colour means

The blue button is honest about where it lands you: Add to slip only when the book gave us a link to this exact selection, and different wording — a market page, or Open plus the book name — when it did not. What the button opens covers every case. Tapping anywhere else on the card does the same thing the button does.

Parlay adds the bet to the in-app slip builder and Track saves it to My Bets; both are Plus. The line "N% commission fee accounted for in calculations" appears on books that charge a commission — the edge used the odds after their fee, while the price shown is the one the book posts.

On a live feed a card flashes green or red when it changes and prints one label: the EV shift first, then a badge move (Good Bet → Strong Bet), then a price move (+150 → +135).

What your plan changes on the card

The matchup, selection, badge and Fair show at every tier. The EV% does not: on a Free or signed-out feed the top bet of the day keeps one real number, the rest are blurred, and tapping a blurred one opens the upgrade prompt — or, signed out, the sign-up gate. The bet amount is then a flat placeholder with a padlock, and a signed-out card shows one book and no bet link.

Freshness has its own signal: a green LIVE pill in the Bet Feed header means you are reading the live board. Without it you are being served a snapshot we already took, held a step behind on purpose — why your feed says delayed.
