Subscriptions in the iPhone app

Quick answer
You can pay for DawBets two ways — an in-app purchase billed by the App Store, or a subscription billed on dawbets.com — and your account unlocks whichever of the two is higher, so nobody needs to buy twice. Everything you can do about it in the app lives on one screen: open Settings, then Subscription.
The iPhone app is not on the App Store yet. It is built and this page describes how it works, but there is nothing to install today — everything here also works in the browser at dawbets.com, which you can add to your home screen from Safari's Share menu.
Two ways to pay, one account
DawBets sells the same plans twice: as an in-app purchase billed by the App Store, and as a web subscription billed on dawbets.com. Your account is entitled to whichever of the two is higher, so a plan bought on either side works everywhere you sign in — the app, the website and the home-screen widgets. You never need both.
On iOS: Every control below is on one screen. Open Settings — the avatar in the top corner of Bet Feed, Parlay and Explore, the gear on My Bets — then Subscription under Account. Restore purchases and the App Store link are on that screen in every state, even if your profile fails to load.
What you can buy in the app
Four products: Plus and Pro, each monthly or annual. The App Store supplies the prices when the plan cards load, so the app never quotes a figure of its own — and neither does this page. Current prices are on the pricing page.
The tiers are the same ones the website sells, and they behave identically on both clients — DawBets on iPhone has the capability table, and Plans and what each one includes goes through them row by row.
The free trial does not come from the App Store
This is the one people get backwards. DawBets grants a seven-day Pro trial when you create your account, on our side — see How your free Pro trial works. There is no App Store introductory offer configured, so an in-app purchase is a purchase from day one. Buying is what keeps your access when the granted trial ends — it never starts a trial.
Buying mid-trial does not extend it
Subscribe while your granted trial is still running and the App Store bills you straight away; the days left on the trial are not added to the plan. If you only want the trial, buy nothing — the Subscription screen shows the date it ends.
If you already subscribe on dawbets.com
The app deliberately refuses to sell you a plan. Open the paywall as a web subscriber and you get a Managed on dawbets.com panel instead of purchasable cards, and the Subscription screen drops its See All Plans row altogether — because buying there would start a second, separate App Store subscription running alongside the one you already pay for.
That check reads your actual web subscription, not your tier — so someone on the granted trial still sees plans, which is right: a trial is not a payment. To move billing to Apple, cancel on the web first and buy in the app once the paid period ends. To keep billing on the web, do nothing.
Restore a purchase

Open Settings → Subscription
Tap the avatar in the top corner (the gear on My Bets), then the Subscription row under Account.

Tap Restore purchases
It syncs your Apple Account, re-reads what you own, and sends that to your DawBets account so both sides agree.

Watch the Plan section
The screen re-reads both billing sources afterwards, so the plan row shows what you actually ended up holding rather than only that the sync ran. If the App Store cannot be reached you get a named error and a Retry rather than a silent failure. A sync that *succeeds* and still finds nothing is a different result — it reports no error at all, and usually means the purchase belongs to a different DawBets account. Restore only ever finds App Store purchases — most usefully one made on another iPhone signed into the same Apple Account. A web subscription is restored by signing into your DawBets account instead; there is nothing in the App Store for it to find.
What the Subscription screen is telling you

Change, cancel, refund or redeem
- Change plan — App Store subscribers tap See All Plans and pick a card. Moving between monthly and annual on the same plan is an ordinary Apple plan change: an upgrade applies right away, a downgrade at your next renewal, and a queued downgrade shows on the screen as a Changes to row. After a move between Plus and Pro, check the Plan section — if two App Store rows appear, Apple is billing both and you want to cancel the one you are not using.
- Cancel — App Store subscriptions opens Apple’s own manage sheet without leaving the app. DawBets cannot cancel an App Store subscription for you; only Apple can. You keep access to the end of the period you already paid for.
- Request a refund — appears when the app can see an App Store subscription, and opens Apple’s in-app refund sheet (or Apple’s report-a-problem page if there is no transaction on the device). Apple decides refunds, not us.
- Redeem offer code — applies a promo or gift code issued through the App Store.
- Billing on dawbets.com — only for web subscribers: update your card, read invoices, cancel or change your plan.
Tip
The line under those rows names where your plan is actually cancelled — the App Store, dawbets.com, or both if you hold one of each. Follow that line rather than guessing, and see Changing or cancelling your plan.
Heads up
A subscription is a cost, not an investment. DawBets prices bets; it does not produce income, and no plan makes a bet safe. Sports betting is 21+ and legal only in some states — if it has stopped being fun, read our responsible-gambling resources.
Common questions
I subscribed on the website. Do I have to buy again in the app?
No. Sign in with the same account and your plan is already active. The app will not even offer you plans — it shows "Managed on dawbets.com" so you cannot accidentally start a second subscription.
How do I cancel a subscription I bought in the app?
Through Apple. Open Settings → Subscription → App Store subscriptions, or use iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
I upgraded but the app still shows me on Free.
Tap Restore purchases on the Subscription screen. It re-checks your Apple Account, syncs the result to your DawBets account, then refreshes the Plan section so it shows what you actually hold. If it cannot reach the App Store it says so and offers a retry.
Does buying in the app start a free trial?
No. The seven-day Pro trial comes with your account when you sign up, from our server. There is no App Store introductory offer, so an in-app purchase bills from day one and is what keeps your access after the trial.
Can DawBets refund my App Store purchase?
No. Apple took the payment, so Apple decides the refund. The Request a refund row opens Apple’s own sheet for you. A subscription billed on dawbets.com is a different matter — see [Payment and billing problems](/help/payment-and-billing-problems).
I think I am being charged twice.
Check the Subscription screen: every subscription gets its own row under Plan and they are never merged into a single figure. One App Store row plus one web row means you are paying both rails. Two App Store rows means Apple is billing two subscriptions, which most often follows a move between Plus and Pro. Either way, cancel whichever you do not want, with the company that billed it.
