Emails DawBets sends you

Quick answer

All DawBets email comes from noreply@mail.dawbets.com. There are three kinds: account and trial email keyed to your own clock, billing email triggered by a real payment event, and product email you asked for by sending feedback or an idea. If nothing is arriving, the usual cause is a signup address that was never confirmed — we never email one.

Who the email comes from

Every message we send arrives from DawBets <noreply@mail.dawbets.com>. Adding that address to your contacts is the single most reliable way to keep our email out of spam, and it is the address to search for when something has gone missing.

One honest caveat: only the feedback confirmation is wired for replies — hitting Reply on it reaches a person. Some of our other emails invite a reply, but that reply lands on the unmonitored sending address. To reach us, write to team@dawbets.com or use Contact support.

Account and trial email

These follow your account's own clock. Each trial email is sent at most once. Subscribing stops the trial-ended note and the win-back — but not the two reminders, which can still land if you upgrade mid-trial.

  • You're in! Your DawBets Pro trial has started — sent once, the first time your account finishes setting itself up after signup.
  • Your Pro trial ends in 3 days and Last day of your Pro trial — the two reminders during a free trial.
  • Your Pro trial has ended — sent after the trial runs out, and only if you did not subscribe or land a free month from a referral.
  • Here's what you're missing on DawBets — a win-back note about a week after a trial lapses or a paid subscription ends.
  • Your annual plan renews soon — about a week before an annual subscription renews, with the renewal date and amount.
  • Your friend subscribed — when a friend you invited subscribes and your free month is credited, activated, or banked. Sent on the event, once per friend, not on a schedule. See Refer a friend.

Billing email

Billing email is not on a schedule at all — each one is fired by a real event, so it arrives within moments of the thing it describes. Every row but the last comes straight from our payment processor.

EmailWhat triggers it
ReceiptA payment succeeds. Shows the exact amount charged.
We couldn't charge your cardA charge fails. Links straight to the unpaid invoice or your billing details.
Action requiredYour bank wants extra verification (3-D Secure) before the charge will go through.
Subscription canceledYou turn off renewal. Names the date your paid features end.
You've upgraded / You've switchedYour plan moves between Plus and Pro.
Welcome backYou resubscribe after a spell on Free.
Account deletedYou delete your account.

Receipts and renewal reminders quote a dollar figure read live from the payment processor when the email is composed — we never store or restate plan prices. Current figures are on the pricing page. If a charge is what failed rather than the email, Payment failed or billing looks wrong is the article to open.

On iOS: If you subscribed through the App Store, Apple takes the payment and Apple sends the receipt. DawBets sends no receipt, card-declined or cancellation email for an App Store subscription — see App Store vs web billing.

Product email you asked for

  • Feedback confirmation — sent when you submit written feedback in the app, quoting your message back so you know it landed. Reply to it and you reach the team.
  • Ideas updates — a confirmation when you post an idea at Ideas & Roadmap, then a note when the team replies to it, when it moves to building, and when it ships.

Marketing email is a separate stream with its own opt-out. Unsubscribe from DawBets emails covers what that link does and does not stop.

When scheduled email arrives

Trial reminders, win-back and renewal notices are timed to land around 9am in your account's timezone — the one your device reported when you created the account. If we never learned it, we use US Eastern. Billing and product email ignores this entirely and sends immediately.

An unconfirmed address gets nothing

If the confirmation link from signup was never clicked, we send that address no trial reminders, no win-back, and no account email — sending to unconfirmed addresses wrecks deliverability for everyone else. Fix it first: Confirmation link problems.

If an email never arrived

  1. 1

Search your mail for the sender, not the subject

Search mail.dawbets.com across all folders, spam and promotions included. Filters catch our mail far more often than it fails to send.

  2. 2

Check the address on your account

Open Settings — your account email is shown at the top. There is no way to change it in the app; if it is wrong or was never confirmed, email team@dawbets.com.

  3. 3

Rule out the ones we deliberately skip

The trial-ended note is skipped if you subscribed, and a win-back is never sent to someone who still has access through the App Store or a referral comp.

  4. 4

Give a scheduled email an hour

The job that sends trial, win-back and renewal email runs hourly and retries anything that failed, so a transient problem usually clears itself by the next run.

  5. 5

    Still nothing? Tell us

Write to team@dawbets.com with the email you expected and roughly when. We can see whether it was sent, and whether your provider rejected it.

Common questions

I never got my trial reminder. Why?

The two usual causes are a signup address that was never confirmed — we never email one — or the message landing in spam. Each reminder also fires only once, inside a narrow window before your trial ends, and is scheduled for 9am your time, so it can land the morning after that window opened.

When do scheduled emails arrive?

Trial reminders, win-back and renewal emails are timed for 9am in your account's timezone, taken from your device at signup. If we do not have one, US Eastern is used. Everything else — billing, the trial-ended note, feedback and ideas — sends straight away.

What is noreply@mail.dawbets.com?

It is our sending address — every DawBets email comes from it. Add it to your contacts so we do not land in spam. Replies to it are not read; write to team@dawbets.com to reach a person.

Why did I not get a receipt for my subscription?

If you subscribed in the iPhone app, Apple charges you and Apple sends the receipt — we never see the payment. Receipts from us only exist for subscriptions bought on the web.

Can I change the email address DawBets uses?

Not from inside the app. Settings shows your account email but has no control to edit it. Email team@dawbets.com and ask us to change it.

I unsubscribed but email keeps coming. Is that a bug?

No. Unsubscribing stops marketing broadcasts only. Receipts, failed-payment warnings, cancellation notices and account email keep arriving while the account exists, because they are things you need to know about.
