If you need help right now

The National Council on Problem Gambling runs a free, confidential helpline around the clock: call or text 1-800-522-4700. If you would rather type than talk, their live chat is at ncpgambling.org/chat. That is the same number printed at the foot of every guide and help page on this site, and it is the right number whether you are worried about your own betting or someone else’s.

• ●Your state’s gaming commission — most states run a voluntary self-exclusion programme, and enrolling blocks you at the licensed sportsbooks in that state.

Signs betting has stopped being fun

Gambling may be a problem if you:

• ●Bet more money than you can afford to lose.
• ●Chase losses by raising your stakes after a losing run.
• ●Hide or play down how much you gamble to family and friends.
• ●Feel restless, anxious or irritable when you are not betting.
• ●Bet to escape stress or low mood rather than for entertainment.
• ●Need bigger stakes to get the same excitement.
• ●Have tried to cut back or stop and could not.
• ●Borrow money or sell things to keep betting.
• ●Let work, study or family responsibilities slide because of gambling.

What DawBets cannot do for you

DawBets is not a sportsbook. We never accept a bet, hold funds or process a wager — every bet you place happens on a third-party book you reach on your own, under our Terms. We hold no account with any book, and that has a consequence people ask about constantly: we cannot stop you betting.

• ●No deposit limits and no loss limits. Set those inside each sportsbook’s own account tools.
• ●No self-exclusion. Enrol through your state’s gaming commission — one enrolment covers the licensed books in your state, which is more than any single app could do.
• ●No cool-off timer, and no way to lock you out of DawBets itself.

What we do control is what we put in front of you: a sportsbook link that came out of the Claude connector opens a leaving screen first, carrying a 21+ line and the helpline number. Tapping a book on a bet card inside DawBets opens that book directly.

The guardrails the product does build in

In Settings you set a Bankroll and a Risk Tolerance. Every recommended wager is then a fraction of the full Kelly stake for that edge — the picker names the fraction each option uses, and a lower risk tolerance means smaller bets relative to your bankroll. Kelly’s number is treated as a ceiling on one bet, not a target to hit.

• ●Player props are sized below a game line carrying the same edge, because individual-player outcomes carry more variance and more model uncertainty.
• ●Tracking is there to stop losses hiding. Tapping Track on a bet card — a paid-plan feature — records the price you actually got, so your record is the real one rather than the one you remember. See how bet tracking works.
• ●A positive edge is a long-run statistic, not income. Bets with a genuine edge lose often in small samples. Never stake money you need.

How old you have to be

You must be 21 or older to use DawBets. That is the eligibility rule in our Terms, and it is stricter than the handful of states that set their own minimum betting age at 18 — ours does not move to match them. The state-by-state guide covers where betting is legal and which books operate there.

Being honest about where that is enforced: there is no age checkbox at signup. The one place the app asks is the Claude connector, which makes you confirm once on the Age confirmation card at /connect-claude before it will answer anything. If we ever change that wording, every previous confirmation is voided and everyone re-confirms.

Taking a break, or leaving

   Cancel the subscription

   Open Settings and use Cancel subscription — see Change or cancel your plan. Access runs to the end of the period you have paid for.

   Delete the account entirely

   The account locks the moment you ask, you are signed out everywhere, and your tracked bets, bankroll and preferences are queued for erasure. There is no delete button on the website — email team@dawbets.com from the address on the account. The iPhone app has one in its Settings; DawBets on iPhone covers where that app stands.    Do the sportsbook side separately

   Cancelling or deleting here changes nothing at your books. Deposit limits, account closure and self-exclusion all live with them and with your state regulator.
